Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Welcome to IndiPiano.com. Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information is collected when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using IndiPiano.com, you agree to this policy.

1. Who I Am

IndiPiano.com is a free music tools and resources website created and maintained by Vikas Masurkar, a software professional based in Mumbai, India. You can reach me through the Contact Us page.

2. Your Files Stay on Your Device

Most tools on this website, such as the audio converters, MIDI tools, chord detector, virtual instruments and recorders, process your files directly in your web browser. Audio, video and MIDI files you open in these tools are not uploaded to my servers and are not stored or shared by me.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit this website, standard technical information may be collected automatically by my hosting provider and by the third-party services described below. This can include:

  • Your IP address (which may be anonymised) and approximate location, such as country or city
  • Browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages and the website you came from
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies

4. Information You Give Me

If you use the contact form or email me, you may provide your name, email address, mobile number and message. I use this information only to read and reply to your message, to fix reported issues and to improve the website. I do not sell it or use it for marketing.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This website and its partners use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential and functional: to make the website work and to remember your preferences. Some tools save settings such as theme, sound presets and instrument options in your browser’s local storage so they are available on your next visit. This data stays on your device.
  • Analytics: to understand how visitors use the website.
  • Advertising: to show ads and measure how they perform (see Section 7).

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you block them.

6. Google Analytics and Google Site Kit

I use Google Analytics, connected through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to collect statistics about website traffic and usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, session duration and device type. This data is used to improve content and tools. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

7. Advertising (Google AdSense)

This website may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Ads help cover hosting, maintenance and development costs so the tools can stay free. Please note the following:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Google and its partners may use identifiers such as cookies, device identifiers and IP addresses to show personalised or non-personalised ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure ad performance.
  • In regions where the law requires it, ads are personalised only if you give consent through the consent message shown on the website.

You can control how ads are shown to you:

I do not control the cookies set by third-party advertisers. I do not sell your personal information.

8. Third-Party Links and Embedded Content

This website links to external platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and my other initiative, StammeringHelp.com. These sites have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for their content or practices. Embedded content, such as videos, may place cookies on your device when you play it.

9. Donations

If you choose to support IndiPiano with a donation, payments are made directly through UPI or bank transfer using your own banking or payment app. I do not collect or store your payment credentials on this website.

10. How I Use Information

  • To operate, maintain and improve the website and its tools
  • To understand which tools and articles are most useful
  • To respond to your messages and fix reported issues
  • To display advertising and measure its performance
  • To keep the website secure and prevent misuse

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

11. Data Retention and Security

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of Google’s services. I use reasonable measures to protect the website, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. This may apply under laws such as the GDPR (European Economic Area, UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act. To make a request, please contact me. Since most tools process files in your browser, there is usually no account or profile to delete.

13. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Please check back occasionally.
