How It Works

What is the Piano MIDI Visualizer?

The Piano MIDI Visualizer is an interactive tool that lets you load MIDI files and watch them play in real time on a virtual piano keyboard. Similar to a Synthesia style experience, it visually displays falling notes, exact pitch names, note lengths, tempo, and instrument sound. It’s perfect for learning, practicing, analyzing and enjoying MIDI performances.

How to Use the Piano MIDI Visualizer

Upload Your MIDI File : Click Import MIDI and select your .mid file to load it instantly into the visualizer.

Select from 128+ Instruments : Choose from a wide range of instrument sounds including pianos, electric pianos, guitars, strings, flute, basses, synths, pads and many more.

Adjust the Tempo : Drag the tempo slider to slow down for practice or speed up playback. Perfect for and analysing mastering difficult sections.

Play, Pause & Control : Use the playback controls to start, stop, or replay the MIDI anytime.

Customize Visual Theme : Switch between different color schemes (such as Neon Rainbow and others) for a personalized visual experience.

View Exact Note Information : See precise note names (C4, D#5, etc.), pitch positions, and note durations displayed clearly on the keyboard.

Analyze Note Length & Timing : Observe how long each note is held and understand rhythm patterns visually.

Practice Like Synthesia : Follow falling notes in real time to improve hand coordination, timing, and accuracy.

The Piano MIDI Visualizer is ideal for students, teachers, composers, and music enthusiasts. It transforms MIDI files into an engaging visual learning experience, helping you understand pitch, rhythm, tempo, and musical structure in a simple and interactive way.

  • IndiPiano is completely free. Along with this, I am also running StammeringHelp.com, an NGO dedicated to supporting people with speech and hearing disabilities. It is essentially a platform that integrates neuroscience and AI-driven analytics to advance research and solutions in human speech and hearing sciences.
  • I am just a software engineer from India, maintaining and running this NGO as a non-profit initiative supported by donations.
  • Every contribution helps us maintain and grow this platform so it can reach and help more people.
  • It also funds ongoing research not only into stammering and stuttering, but also in overall speech, hearing and neuroscience.
